About Us

  About Us

We  at  Olympic Warrior Gymnastics Academy set the highest standards in professionalism, quality, and safety.  Our goal is to provide a program in which the sport of gymnastics helps children develop strength as they prepare for life's challenges.

Our academy offers competitive and recreational gymnastics and cheer for boys and girls, tumbling, strength and conditioning, camps, cheer clinics, themed birthday parties, on-site daycare classes and parents' night out.  Please refer to our classes and calendar for up-to-date clinics and classes in both gymnastics and cheer.

OWGA is a brand new facility located at 4099 Old Hwy 11 in Purvis, MS (3 miles past OG Middle School).  Our 17,000 square foot building is equipped with the best and most up-to-date equipment in the Southeast.  It was designed from the ground up for safety, fun and for the purpose of teaching students and athletes the latest techniques in the sport of gymnastics and cheerleading!  We have three (3) viewing areas at our faciltiy for parents to stay and watch their children grow and learn the challenges of gymnastics and cheer.

Whether you're looking for classes, competition, cheerleading or birthday party fun, you'll find it here at OWGA!  So please stop in and let us show you around our new gym and set up some classes for the next Olympian.

Statement From Owners

Our mission statement for Olympic Warrior is preparing kids for life's battles. We at Olympic Warrior are dedicated to providing a safe, professional, and a quality academy that will be setting goals for each child as individuals. We will strive to help children love, learn and accept challenges in life through gymnastics. Our staff will motivate children to understand, care about and help their teammates.

Billy Mack and Julie Pickering are the owners of Olympic Warrior Gymnastic Academy. They have been involved with the sport of gymnastics for over 13 years with their children. Olivia, age 15, will compete Level 9 this year. Kristen, age 13 is a level 9 gymnast. Mack, age 12, competes at level 6 on the boys team. The Pickering’s have a tremendous passion for the sport of gymnastics. Through the years they have seen how this sport has taught their children discipline, strength, and courage. Their goal is to develop a program in which the sport of gymnastics helps kids develop strength as they prepare for life’s battles.

Billy Mack is a Family Physician who has practiced in the Hattiesburg area for over 20 years. Julie is a registered nurse who now devotes her time to managing the gym.

Their prayer is for each student in their facility to achieve the dreams that God has given them.

Testimonial

"I can not thank OWGA enough for the gifts you have given to my students this year. Granting access to the gym for my students was a safe way to teach gross motor skills that my students otherwise would not have learned. They have shown tremendous progress since September and I have you to thank. One student in particular has evolved from a shy, undetermined little girl to one who will try anything for Coach Katie and attempted many assets of the gym which she has never done before. Her gross motor skills and balance are strengthening due to the use of your gym. Once again, I thank you for all the gifts you have given to my students."
